Portland Harbor Hotel (Portland, USA)

The hotel is a short walk away from the waterfront as well as many of the local shops and restaurants. Guests were pleased to find that they could walk to the local amenities and sightseeing attractions without having to worry about driving or getting public transport. Although centrally located, the hotel is in a quiet residential area which meant that guests did not experience any noise disturbances in the evenings.

Many guests enjoyed spending their free time in the courtyard where there are plenty of comfortable seating areas as well a cozy fire pit. During colder weather many chose to relax in front of the open fireplaces of the hotel's lobby where complimentary coffee is served all day.

The decor of the rooms was described as elegant with traditional style-furniture and quality upholstery and bedding. Guests appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and said that the housekeeping team kept their accommodation neat and tidy for the duration of their stay.

Although the hotel provides complimentary coffee in the lobby, some guests objected to the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in their rooms which meant that they were not able to make themselves a hot drink first thing in the morning.

Some of the suites have been described as being quite small and cramped with guests stating that they had very little room to move around and also objected to the lack of storage space.

The air-conditioning units have been described as rather dated and loud with quite a few guests objecting to the noise they produced which prevented some from getting a good night's sleep.
