The hotel is surrounded by extensive grounds which include an 18-hole- golf course providing peace and tranquility as well as some very picturesque views. Guests said that they felt relaxed and welcomed the opportunity of being surrounded by nature as opposed to buildings and noise. Many took the time to explore the grounds as well as the nature trails and woodland walks nearby.

Guests had plenty of leisure activities to choose from ranging from the pool tables in the games room through to the indoor- pool and Jacuzzi and the state-of-the art gym. Golfing enthusiasts could take advantage of the 18-hole course which was described as well-presented and challenging.

Many of the guests were very complimentary about the quality of food stating that the dishes were cooked to perfection and made using fresh local ingredients. The menus were described as extensive catering for various dietary requirements as well as children.

Guests whose rooms were located in the new development adjacent to the main building complained about having to walk quite a bit in order to get to the reception and the hotel restaurant. This was inconvenient particularly during bad weather when guests had to walk to the main building in the rain.

Those who wanted to connect to the internet said that they experienced difficulties due to the low and intermittent Wi-Fi signal. Guests staying in the Courtyard rooms said that the signal there was particularly poor.

Various plumbing issues have been brought up by guests who were disappointed to find that they couldn’t have a shower due to lack of hot water whilst some objected to warm water coming out of the cold tap.
