Negative Reviews
negative:
Car parking can be tricky
The guests staying in the rooms share parking facilities with patrons of the pub and restaurant. This inevitably means that at times the car park can get quite busy and make it a challenge for guests to find a suitable space.
negative:
Noise disturbance
Guests mention that they are sometimes disturbed by noise from other guests. They report that the walls are quite thin and don't provide sufficient sound-proofing - this results in it being possible to hear guests in adjoining rooms which isn't ideal. Noise from the car park can also be a problem at times.
negative:
Rooms a bit dated
Guests feel that the standard of décor could be improved in some parts of the hotel. The carpets in places are showing their age and the fixtures and fittings would perhaps benefit from modernisation. However, it seems that some parts have already been updated so hopefully this will be an ongoing process.
