Mercure Telford Madeley Court Hotel is a non-smoking property which is great for those who don’t imbibe and like their surroundings smelling fresh, rather than like second-hand smoke.

All the meals in The Priory restaurant are prepared with care and the food is really delicious. The wait staff is attentive and the presentation is lovely. To top off an early meal, be sure to visit the Lakeside Bar for a nightcap and gorgeous views of the lake.

Some of the guest rooms at Mercure Telford Madeley Court Hotel are a bit small, with sloping roofs and cramped quarters. So if you are travelling with more than one person or need extra room to manoeuvre, be sure to mention this when checking in and they should be able to accommodate you.

There’s no lift at this hotel. So if you have low mobility, lots of luggage or are travelling with small children in tow, be sure to ask for a ground floor room when booking.

Some of the guest rooms, especially those in the old wing of the property, are beginning to show their age. Tired carpeting and old furnishings need to be updated. Also, the housekeeping staff needs to be more attentive to the dust which is quite thick in places and encourages spiders to lurk in the dark corners.
