Littleover Lodge Hotel (Derby, United Kingdom)

The location of this hotel is excellent for exploring the Derbyshire countryside. It has good access to the motorway for Derbyshire, and has good parking and clean rooms with all the basics covered. Although it is quite central for exploring Derbyshire, it is in a very peaceful location.

It has been repeatedly mentioned that the staff in this hotel is friendly, professional and helpful. There is a high standard of service here in all aspects, cleaning, catering and serving. This applies to functions held in the hotel such as weddings as well as everyday service. Guests who have been compelled to arrive late have been charmed by the graciousness of the staff on their arrival. In fact, the staff has been described as “top rate.”

The tariffs and restaurant charges are all affordable and very good value, which again is something repeatedly mentioned in feedback about the hotel.

It was mentioned recently that the hotel, from inside, seems dated and in need of a refurbishment. It has also been mentioned that some of the fixtures and fittings are missing and need replacing. Some kind of refurbishment is reportedly in progress.

There have been complaints that the Wi-Fi signal here is poor, which can be a difficult for those for whom Internet connectivity is necessary.

The bathrooms here are rather small and difficult to move about in for plus-sized people.
