About Lafitte Hotel & Bar
Situated on the edge of New Orleans famous French Quarter, Lafitte Guest House is a charming private home from the mid-180’that has been repositioned as an upmarket guest house.
Most of the 14 uniquely furnished and decorate rooms look down on the city’s famous Bourbon Street. They feature antique pieces, along with all the modern conveniences, from flat screen TV to refrigerators.
Lafitte Guest House features a gorgeous and very stylish lounge, with antique furniture where guests are welcome to relax. There’s also an art gallery onsite, showcasing the works of Russian artist, Vladimir Kush.
While there are no dining facilities onsite there certainly is no shortage in the surrounding neighbourhood, with Creole cuisine of course being very popular.
Take just a couple of steps down Bourbon Street and you’ll be in the heart of the French Quarter, focal point of the city not just during Mardi Gras, but for much of the rest of the year as well.

Very charming décor throughout
Guests couldn't have been happier with the décor throughout the guest house. They found their rooms to be very unique, and while some antique pieces were used, guests mentioned that they were well preserved and/or reupholstered. They certainly were not displaying signs of excessive wear and tear. Often singled out was the gallery room, holding the paintings and other art work, which was said to be especially attractive.

Guests staying here were not staying for business. They were staying for the fun and excitement of the French Quarter. They mentioned that the guest house was right on the quieter end of famous Bourbon Street, and offered them easy access to the whole area.

Guests had only had good things to say about the hosts. The were said to be very welcoming and helpful, with many guests amazed at how eager and capable they were when it came to helping them out with local advice and recommendations.
