Indoor promenade and pool views
Guests commented favorably on salt water indoor swimming pool which features large windows that overlook the cityscape. The hotel also features an indoor promenade which connects the hotel to food court and shops as well as to the subway system. Guests visiting during the colder months found this particularly convenient.

Centrally located, the Intercontinental is a 12-minute walk from the center of Old Montréal and within walking distance of many of Montreal's popular attractions as well as to a choice of cafes, restaurants and bars. The closest metro station, along with the Montreal Convention Centre, are a two-minute walk away.

Spacious rooms
The rooms are spacious, clean, and decorated with modern decor and elegant furnishings. The beds as well as the pillows are comfortable and the bathrooms are marble tiled bathrooms are also spacious and well lit. Rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, some of which offer views of Old Montreal.

Not all rooms appear to be furnished with up to date furnishings, as some guests reported that the carpet in their rooms was old and shabby and the furniture out dated.

Despite the majority of favorable reviews, some guests reported that their rooms were not thoroughly cleaned and in some cases mold was found growing in the bathrooms.

Expensive and inconvenient parking
Guests traveling by car reported that the underground parking which is located several floors under ground is poorly marked and difficult to find your way in and out of. Some guests also found the parking fees to be expensive.
