The staff here is very warm and friendly with guests. Very helpful not only when assisting guests with hotel-related matters but also when sharing their vast knowledge of local tourist hotspots. The warmth of the staff imparts a personal touch to the hotel. The staff is eloquent in English, Spanish, French and Hindi, which are the languages most common in the locale.

The motel is built on a very convenient location surrounded by numerous highways, Interstates, golf clubs, and tropical gardens. Rooms overlooking the tropical gardens are provide very scenic views. The hotel is very quiet and a favorite with business travelers.

Many guests who have stayed at Vista Inn and Suites Tampa have been pleasantly surprised by the high standards maintained in the rooms which they said exceeded their expectations for a budget hotel. Although the rooms feature a simple décor, they are spacious and clean. Wi-Fi and the various amenities provided work well.

A few guests have been disappointed by the rather simplistic décor and plain furniture in the rooms and lobby.

Vista Inn and Suites Tampa has lately undergone extensive renovations and some rooms are reserved for people who don't smoke. Unfortunately some guests have felt aggrieved that the hotel is rather lax when enforcing non-smoking rules in non-smoking rooms.

Some guests have reported sporting pests such as roaches in the rooms while others complained a few walls were infested with mildew.
