The hotel is quite old and its staff has also been there for years which reflect in the great service they offer. The front desk staff is also very accommodating and sympathetic to any guest issues and makes the effort to resolve them as fast as possible.

The hotel is right in the heart of Windsor and less than one mile from Detroit-Windsor Tunnel U.S. border crossing. Apart from all the local attractions, there are many wineries too near to the hotel.

Guests have noted that the suites though spacious have slightly old and outdated furnishings. The hotel exterior as well as interior are crumbling down and require repairs. However, renovations are currently being done at the hotel which is likely to correct this.

The Wi-Fi network is poor and doesn't leave you with much of an option with its extremely slow speed. However, the problem may be limited to certain rooms and public areas also have Wi-Fi access in case of any urgent usage.

Guests have complained about unclean bed sheets and carpets with stains, hair and other remains left lying around. Even the blankets and pillows have been found unwashed in certain cases at Quality Suites Downtown.
