Old and Beautiful.
The Stefanie Hotel is the oldest in Vienna, and provides a comfortable and elegant setting for an experience that most guests found to be something of a step back to a better and more leisurely time. Having said that, it is noted that the hotel offers modern standards of comfort and the effective air-conditioning was welcomed by guests who experienced heat wave conditions during their stay.
positive:
Well Located.
The staff are complimented almost without exception. The location in the old town of Vienna is very convenient for visitors wishing to experience the attractions of the city and the Danube: the Metro and all the major tourist sites are within walking distance, and there are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. Children under 12 are allowed to stay in their parents' room without charge.
positive:
Ballroom Breakfast.
The extensive buffet breakfast attracted a good deal of favourable comment, with good hot and cold options and excellent service. The former ballroom setting in which it is served was well appreciated. In the guest rooms bathrooms and showers were generally good. The guest rooms overlooking the courtyard, although compact, are extremely comfortable and quiet, whilst the superior rooms give a good amount of space. The Wi-Fi connection was efficient, with one or two exceptions in some rooms.
