The continental breakfast served had a good spread that included bacon, egg, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and sausage among others. It was a good selection of menu to kick start the day. The Texas-shaped waffles were loved by the guests. Much to the pleasant surprise of the guests, Wi-Fi was stable without any lost signals.
The hotel is in close proximity to all the major places of interest and transport. It is close to IH-10. Guests had a gala time at the malls and casino/racetrack which was at a distance of few minutes from the hotel. There were many chains of restaurants in and around that area. The Mexican restaurant and State Line Barbecue were a hot favorite amongst the guests.
Rooms are spacious, clean ad well-maintained. Beds are comfortable. Rooms have all the basic amenities required for a comfortable stay. Guests were impressed with the high levels of customer services offered by the staff members. They were very courteous and had a genuine smile on their face, which made the guests feel at home.
Though the rooms were clean, bathrooms needed some attention. Bath tubs were clogged with a lot of hair. Water pressure in the shower was varying making it difficult to take a bath.
A part of the hotel is under construction making it very noisy through the day. They also allowed the construction workers, who smoked a lot, to reside in the hotel making it an uncomfortable situation.
Since the walls are very thin, they hardly provided any sound proofing and guests could hear their neighbors talk.
