The hotel staff have received many rave reviews for their friendly, informative, and professional customer service, with guests often recognising individuals at the front desk who go "the extra mile" to resolve an issue or take their stay from good to great.

The hotel is popular with families, who like the suite layout, as well as multiple televisions and full-sized appliances in the kitchen. The basketball court and indoor pool are big pluses for the young guests as well, and they often have the water to themselves as the heating system is a bit intermittent.

Guests pleased with the hotel's overall value for money like to list the many "freebies," including a reasonably varied hot breakfast, ample parking, Wi-Fi, and the evening social hour. Its location just off the Interstate is also widely considered good for exploring the area, provided you have a car.

The hotel is located on a service road directly behind another hotel (the Fairfield Inn), and some first-time visitors have reported difficulty finding the entrance.

Though the hotel is smoke-free, cigarette odour in the rooms is a (rarely) reported issue, and guests have also been disappointed to find cigarette butts littering common outdoor areas such as the fire pit, though the BBQ area is widely considered inviting.
