Hotel Qupqugiaq Inn (Anchorage, USA)

Guests loved the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and meeting new people. Due to the variety of accommodation options, people from all over the world and all walks of life stay at this unique hotel. The shared kitchen area and common living room with board games and small library is a popular place for guests to meet, hang out and chat.

Qupqugiaq Inn has truly unique decor and many guests continue to leave compliments. With a lot of organic-inspired, natural decor and modern furnishings, this hotel will truly add to your Alaskan experience. Every room is unique.

Whether staying short or long term, guests appreciated the free parking and free breakfast. There are also several supermarkets and cafes walking distance from the hotel. The central location in Anchorage made getting around easy. Guests also liked the convenient location close to the airport.

Housekeeping could do a better job cleaning up. The shared bathrooms, especially, could use a scrubbing. Mold has been spotted in the shower area. The floors and window shades in the rooms are somewhat dusty. A few guests also mentioned that some rooms could use a facelift as wear and tear is clearly visible.

Many guests didn't know this until arrival, but no alcohol is allowed on premises or in rooms. Also, people not booked in the hotel are not allowed inside the rooms, but visitors can hang out in the common areas.

You may hear your fellow neighbors wandering the halls at night in order to get to the shared bathroom areas. Even guests from en-suite rooms have complained. Do bring earplugs as a precaution if you're a sensitive sleeper.
