The Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is conveniently located at a minute's drive from Interstate 87 in Plattsburgh and is close to the station and airport. It enjoys a central location and is less than a mile from Champlain Center. The Kent Delord House Museum and State University of New York-Plattsburgh are around five kilometers from the hotel. Guests can take an exploration trip to the Ausable Chasm sandstone gorge which is only minutes from the hotel.

The 84 rooms and suites have carpeted floors and air conditioning. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, refrigerators and microwaves. Bathrooms have shower and tub combination. Upgraded units have kitchens and suites add living spaces and hot tubs.

The hotel has a heated indoor pool plus outdoor pool along with deck chairs for guests to enjoy swims and a lie down. Guests who are particular about their fitness routines need not miss out as there is a fitness room present on site. A business center is featured and is of assistance to guests traveling on work. Front desk staff is present round the clock. A complimentary continental breakfast is served every morning and guests can eat at the picnic area present on site as well. Self parking is complimentary. There is ample space to park RVs and buses too.

Several guests find the beds stiff and uncomfortable. They are dirty with tainted sheets and yellowed pillow covers. The rooms need a renovation as the walls are cracked and facilities like the air conditioning unit barely work. Electrical outlets are also not convenient to use due to the awkwardness of their location.

Some bathrooms are dirty, old and not maintained well. Toilets need more than one flush.

The Wi-Fi speed is spotty and guests are unable to connect in the rooms as well as in the other areas of the hotel. Guests feel that the hotel is overpriced for the facilities provided.
