The Pacific Inn Santa Cruz is located right in the middle of historic Santa Cruz, within walking distance of the beach, a multitude of vibrant restaurants, and is only a short drive to the University of California Santa Cruz, making Pacific Inn an excellent graduation destination for parents and friends.

Numerous guests have complimented the friendliness and genuine concern displayed by hotel staff. Service is prompt, courteous, and very interested in providing guests with a positive experience. Complaints and problems are always handled in a timely and respectful manner.

Built reminiscent of Mediterranean style, the entirety of Pacific Inn features stunning architecture with an historic vibe. Several fountains are found on the property, and beach-­themed artwork decorates the interior, giving guests a constant reminder of their beautiful surroundings.

A number of guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the age of some of the amenities at the historic hotel, including plumbing issues in the bathrooms, worn­out bedsprings, and non-functioning refrigerators and microwaves.

Guests have reported stains in various places, including carpeting, bedspreads and sheets, mattresses, and curtains. Obvious damage to furniture and carpets from pets, such as shredded curtains and bite marks on furniture have also been reported. In addition, a number of foul odors have been reported in certain rooms, as well as one report of fleas.

While Pacific Inn offers complimentary continental breakfast, some guests have objected to the limited variety of foods available, which mostly consists of a few types of fruit, cereals, muffins, and other assorted bakery goods.
