Overall, many guests found this hotel to be offer good value for your money, given that the rooms are equipped with such helpful items as a fridge, a microwave, ample outlets and plenty of space. Moreover, the hotel features a heated pool and a free continental breakfast that guests noted to be a decent start of the day.

Guests found the staff to be friendly, efficient and particularly the front-desk employees to be very helpful in terms of recommending local attractions and restaurants or fulfilling special requests.

As many guests noted, there are many opportunities to shop and eat within walking distance of the hotel, and as the name suggests, it is right next to the USAF Academy Airfield and near other attractions like the University of Colorado campus, the national park and a short drive from the airport and downtown Colorado Springs.

As several guests pointed out, the beds should be replaced since they are anything but comfortable. They noted that you could actually feel the springs and the mattresses did sage quite a bit, which might be acceptable for one night, but they didn't recommend them for a longer stay.

Some guests noted that the cleanings are more of a superficial nature, since the walls were dirty, the curtains stained and the floors appeared as though they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Several also mentioned an odor upon entering the rooms, which they concluded was a combination of mold and cigarettes.
