Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location near nightlife and town centre.
Thanks to the Oasis Guesthouse being in the North Shore, yet close to the town centre and popular nightlife scene, it is in an ideal location. The nightlife is a short walk from the guesthouse, while the likes of Blackpool Tower and Winter Gardens are only 15 minutes or so away on foot.
positive:
Friendly and helpful hosts.
Guests have reported that the hosts at the guesthouse are very approachable and friendly. The hosts will help you as much as they can, no matter what issue or enquiry you may have.
positive:
Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Whilst there are notable issues with the rooms, most were in agreement that the sleeping quarters at the Oasis Guesthouse were clean and comfortable overall.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tired décor in need of refreshing.
Previous guests at the Oasis Guesthouse were unhappy with the décor throughout the building. It has been stated that the guesthouse was not only dated, but certain areas were also decaying and in need of being rejuvenated.
negative:
No-thrills approach.
The Oasis Guesthouse is, in essence, only a bed and breakfast – and not much else! Leisurely activities are virtually non-existent. Plus at this present time there is no licensed bar area, which further accentuates the lack of facilities at the guesthouse.
negative:
Bare and basic rooms.
The rooms at the guesthouse, while perfectly functional, are very basic and lacking attention to detail. With that said, this did not seem to spoil the enjoyment of staying at the Oasis Guesthouse for most previous visitors.
