This property was reportedly in a convenient location on the northern part of the promenade. Guests enjoyed the hassle-free access to the town centre, shopping areas and promenade attractions using the seafront trams which stopped close by. Furthermore it offered more peace and quiet than being among the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

Although many rooms were described as generously-sized, several of the more affordable smaller rooms were occasionally called cramped by critics. It was claimed some of the bathrooms were also small.

Naturally, motorists welcomed the availability of a small free car park. However, spaces were prone to filling up quickly, which meant latecomers had to look elsewhere.
