Staff are lovely to rely on for travel suggestions.
Talk to the staff if you need a second opinion about travel ideas, or simply want to hear what others think about things to do or see in the area. They're a great resource for the region's history and attractions, and will help arrange transport to get you to your desired locations.
positive:
Fantastic place to use as a wedding venue.
Monkey Island is a great representation of romance because of its location, décor, uniqueness, staff, and lovely atmosphere. You can decorate how you please, and the chefs, as well as everyone else involved with your special occasion, are highly attentive and detail oriented.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The rooms require serious cleaning and revamping.
For luxurious rooms in a historical environment, the rooms could do much better. They're in obvious states of dishevelment and tiredness, and need fresh paint, flooring, linens, and furnishings. Repairs and makeovers would be tremendous benefits.
negative:
Breakfast is a very disappointing start to the day.
Unfortunately, breakfast is not always the filling and delightful perk it should be. Ingredients are over or under cooked, and seem like left overs, or processed, reheated, or just thrown together without much thought or care.
negative:
Wi-Fi signal does not work well in the rooms.
The internet signal is inconsistent and often difficult to maintain in the rooms. Common area access seems fine, so you may have to rely on the lounge for steady reception.
