    The Thames Riviera Hotel is located on the banks of The Thames, and just a 20-minute drive from Heathrow. With 52 rooms in total, guests can choose between the single, double, family or executive room. All rooms come with an en-suite and toiletries, a TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities, desk and chair, iron, hairdryer, phone and safe. The hotel is available for booking a wedding, with room for up to 40 guests, or a conference or meeting to be catered. The hotel’s Blue River Bar and Restaurant serves a range of cuisine from breakfast, lunch and dinner either indoors or al fresco on the riverside terrace. In the summer regular BBQs are held. Live music and entertainment is regular. The Thames Riviera Hotel is central to London, Windsor, Ascot Racecourse and Legoland.

    Great Views.

    Set on the famous River Thames, guests appreciated the view from their rooms and the calming background it provided while dining on the terrace.

    Many of the guests were complimentary towards the staff, suggesting they were pleasant and helpful, professional and polite and willing to help with any situation or offer advice when requested.

    Many guests said the hotel’s rooms and public areas were clean and tidy, making them feel welcome from arrival to departure.

    Insects.

    Unfortunately the hotel’s biggest draw card, being on the River Thames, also resulted in it’s biggest deterrent, bugs. Many of the guests were told not to open their windows in summer due to bugs getting in at night. Similarly the terrace can have many little critters too.

    Noisy at Night.

    If the bugs don’t keep you up, the people will. Many guests mentioned that the hotel can get noisy at night, with the bar area getting rowdy with functions and weddings. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the function room.

    No Air Conditioning.

    A number of guests were disappointed to discover there was no air conditioning, making for hot rooms, especially since they could not open their windows to let in cool air without letting in bugs from the river as well.
