Hotel Microtel Inn & Suites Urbandale (Urbandale, USA)

Guests were clearly very happy with the location of the hotel - for two main reasons. Firstly, they liked being so close to the interstate exit, since it made the hotel easy to find initially and very convenient when traveling to and fro. Secondly, they mentioned that there was a great variety of shopping and dining options in the area, meaning they never needed to travel far to meet those needs.

Guests were pretty happy with the complimentary breakfast served in the mornings. While the hotel refers to it as a simple continental breakfast, guests felt that it was much more than that term would usually indicate. They were especially pleased that it included hot items like biscuits and gravy.

Guests couldn’t stop raving about how wonderful the staff were. They mentioned that they were a credit to the hotel, and clearly understood what it meant to be a true hospitality professional.

Guests did not think much of the soundproofing of the rooms. They mentioned that even normal sounds from adjacent rooms could be heard. Loud footsteps from the room above were a common complaint.

The TV’s are relatively small and placed high up and at an angle. Several guests did not like this placement, since it meant that they could only properly watch TV when lying on their back on the bed.

A number of guests mentioned having some problems with the Wi-Fi. The main complaint was that it was unreliable, working at some times and then not at others.
