Hotel Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Amarillo (Amarillo, USA)

It was smiles all around at the Microtel Inn and Suites Amarillo. Helpful staff made guests feel welcome, and provided a much appreciated efficient check-in.

Guests were very impressed with spotless guest rooms and common areas at this hotel. While some commented that the exercise room needed a bit of work, the rest of the hotel was found to be in tiptop condition.

Guests loved that the Microtel Inn and Suited Amarillo was located right off Interstate 40, which was great for guests just stopping in on a road trip. Grab some breakfast and be on the road in no time at this hotel. Other nearby attractions that were easy to get to include the famous Big Texas Steakhouse, Westgate Mall, and Splash Amarillo.

You might hear a little more than you want at the Microtel Inn and Suites Amarillo. Some guests described walls as paper thin, letting in noise from next door neighbors, as well as parking lot and hallway conversations. Many said they would stay again with a bit more soundproofing.

Some guests felt that the complimentary breakfast offered at this hotel was lacking. While guests enjoyed the Texas-shaped waffles and free price tag, they wished for a better selection of fresh fruit, and some protein.

You might not be as fast to throw on your bathing suit once you know about the small indoor pool. Some guests complained that it was too tiny to enjoy, and that it could fill up quickly. And while the pool is heated, it seems it can sometimes be on the chilly side.
