Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific mattresses
An astonishing number of guests reported that the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Since there were no real complaints to speak of, it seems reasonable to conclude that the hotel has managed to select a mattress with very broad appeal.
positive:
Very well positioned
Most guests really liked the position of the hotel, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, its proximity to an interstate exit made it easy to find initially and also convenient for when they were ready to move on. Secondly, they felt there was a decent range of shops and restaurants nearby, meaning that they didn’t have to travel far.
positive:
Good Wi-Fi
A number of guests mentioned something to the effect that they barely noticed the Wi-Fi. This was high praise, since it meant it worked so well that there was no reason for it to be uppermost in their minds.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Desperately needs renovation
This was perhaps the most common complaint. Guests reported that it was clear the hotel had not seen a major renovation in a very long time indeed. It was not just that the decor was old and old fashioned, but that the appliances were outdated and not functioning property, especially the TV’s.
negative:
Problems with rude reception staff
An uncomfortable number of guests mentioned having run-ins with reception staff. Some were said to be very abrupt, unwilling to do much beyond the bare minimum and sometimes actively rude, especially when things did not go 100% according to plan.
negative:
Double charges
Far too many guests for comfort complained that their credit cards were charged twice. While the hotel usually blamed third party booking sites for the mix up, guests were not really buying this excuse. It caused a great deal of frustration and unhappiness.
