Positive Reviews
positive:
In the heart of the city.
This hotel has a central location that just can't be beat. Just a stone's throw are numerous shopping and sightseeing attractions, as well as food spots and cafes. It's a short walk to the Seine and the metro. It's easy to get to all the best the city of Paris has to offer on either the left or right bank.
positive:
Boutique hotel with charm.
This hotel has all the atmosphere and charm of yesteryear's glory, but has been fully renovated for today's traveller. The décor is luxurious, yet rustic. The rooms facing the private courtyard and street scenes add to that overall Parisian feel. You won't forget for a moment just where you are.
positive:
The staff is great for tourists.
The staff at the hotel are so helpful and friendly. It's easy to ask for, and receive, answers to questions and directions. They are detail-oriented and reliable, which makes this a great advantage or first-time Paris tourists. Best of all, most are bi-lingual.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Missing some luxuries.
The hotel, and the rooms, are missing some luxuries that keep this from a higher rating. Small things like a refrigerator in the room and complimentary toiletries would add to guest pleasure. A working air-conditioner is vital, especially in the hot summer, but isn't always available. Plus, the absence of a hotel bar makes guests look elsewhere for those features.
negative:
Where the money goes.
The extra price you pay for this hotel doesn't necessarily mean you'll be getting better luxury. Instead, you're paying those higher rates for the amazing location.
negative:
It's better in cyberspace.
This hotel shows better on the web with professional pictures than it does with the reality of the rooms. Many rooms are smaller than they appear and some bathrooms are narrow. The street view rooms also tend to be noisier.
