Negative Reviews
negative:
The soundproofing here needs to be improved.
This hotel is in a noisy part of the city, with train lines running right next to it and nearby roads busy with traffic. The soundproofing in the rooms is not adequate, so avoid the rooms that are close to the elevators!
negative:
Driving here? You’ll pay extra to park your car.
If you plan on driving to this hotel you should know upfront that you’ll have to pay to park your car. This hotel facility really does need to be included in the room rate.
negative:
Starting to feel dated and rough around the edges.
Hampton Inn & Suites Des Moines Downtown has seen better days, and what was once a lovely place to stay is now looking rather tired and tatty. Some maintenance is sorely needed to bring this place back to its former glory.
