Positive Reviews
positive:
Home away from home
With fully-equipped cabins, as well as smaller but still well-appointed condos, guests feel the comforts of home while still getting a vacation from everyday life. Many say the amenities provided that aren't usually available at regular hotels make all the difference.
positive:
Great service
All staff members - especially those at the front desk - consistently go above and beyond to make sure guests are taken care of, and are always on hand to provide discounted tickets and recommendations for activities in the area.
positive:
Location can't be beat
For those looking to get to Dollywood quickly, or just explore the main drag of Pigeon Forge, the resort couldn't be in a better spot - while staying peaceful and quiet too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Hot in summer
Air-conditioning units are provided for every cabin and condo in the resort, but when temperatures soar, this isn't enough to prevent the rooms from becoming stuffy. Most guests understand that it's just a hazard of the summertime and find it doesn't ruin their overall experience, however.
negative:
Somewhat sooty floors
Because of the resort's proximity to Dollywood, there can unfortunately be some train soot that ends up getting tracked into the cabins and condos by previous guests, and despite the cleaning crew's best efforts it isn't always 100% removed when new tenants arrive.
negative:
No 24-hour front desk
Some guests feel they would be better served with a front desk that is available during more hours of the day, like a more traditional hotel. However, guests are provided with a card upon arrival with a phone number to call if there are any problems, and there are employees living year-round onsite to make sure those problems are solved.
