The location of the Johnson's Inn has received a lot of praise from past guests. With downtown Gatlinburg less than ten minutes away on foot, getting to popular attractions in the area like Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and the Village Shops is a breeze.

Many previous visitors have congratulated the hotel for the customer service that they received during their stay. The staff members working at the accommodation are said to be really friendly and willing to help whenever possible.

Not only is the location excellent, but the Johnson's Inn supposedly has great on-site parking facilities - a win-win if you are traveling in your own car. It has been said that there is an ample amount of parking spaces available.

The rooms at the Johnson's Inn are generally considered dated and distressed, with old-fashioned televisions and worn down furnishings commonly referred to by former visitors. In addition, the private bathrooms have also been slated for their outdated nature.

The Wi-Fi at the hotel, in the opinion of those that used the facility, was not the best. Not only was the connection range criticized on occasion, but the download speeds were also considered slow and unreliable.

Whilst the Johnson's Inn has suffered from very few major issues in relation to cleanliness, this aspect of the hotel has proved to be a somewhat common criticism from past visitors. Small problems such as dirty carpets and stained towels have hampered the hotel's overall hygiene levels.
