The staff aren't pushy or overbearing, giving guests enough personal space and comfortability to come and go. They're always friendly and approachable, and have great ideas about what to do and see while you're staying in the area.

The hotel is wonderfully located in downtown Gatlinburg, so you can easily get to many eateries and attractions on foot. It's nice to be able to take a break from driving and explore the city by walking, or just grab something quick when needed.

The Four Season Motor Lodge is a viable option if you're looking for a cheap place to stay for the night. It's nothing fancy and there's not much in the way of amenities, so it's good if you really just need a bed and bathroom. The hotel is also appealing to travelers with dogs, especially if this is an unplanned stop.

Housekeeping standards are very poor, as evidenced by obvious dirt, dust, grime, and garbage left in the rooms after guests check out. The carpets are particularly icky, and many guests are not comfortable keeping their shoes off.

Appliances are spotty, so you may have difficulties having everything you need during your stay. The fridge doesn't always stay on, and the air conditioning isn't always consistent or working at all. Overall, the fixtures also need upgrading.
