Positive Reviews
positive:
Best of both country and town life
Being just on the edge of Bar Harbour's centre and tourist hub area but still on Main Road gives the Cromwell Harbour Motel a unique position and character. You can enjoy the tranquillity at the motel and go further into the hikes and bike rides around Acadia, or you could walk five minutes in the other direction and find plenty of dining, shopping and tourist activities.
positive:
Abundant parking area
There is plenty of space to park your car at no extra cost to all guests of the motel which is beneficial for those who wish to drive around the surrounding parks etc. It is also useful because there is limited parking at many places in the town (particularly in the busy summer months), so walking in and only using your car for longer trips out is no problem.
positive:
Good value for money
The motel is simple but immaculately kept both inside and out and offers such amenities as free Wi-Fi and a heated pool, not to mention a peaceful but convenient location, all at fair rates.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No meals on site
There is no restaurant or bar on site, so for people who prefer to have food prepared for them, the eateries in town are the way to go. Some however find eating out in Bar Harbour pricey, so maybe alternating between preparing basic microwave or cold foods and going out is most feasible for others.
negative:
Two storeys and only stairs
The rooms are arranged over two floors but with no elevator, so if mobility is an issue, request a ground floor room while making a booking. It is also worth noting that not all rooms have a balcony/patio, so that's also worth checking if it's desired.
negative:
Overall a solid establishment
In general, the motel is comfortable, well located and suited to different people's needs and preferences.
