Hotel Carmel (Carmel-by-the-Sea, USA)

This is the ultimate paradise location. You will find stylish restaurants in the area and fantastic shopping. Carmel beach is easily within walking distance.

The hotel décor is modern, colourful with a beach-chic type ambiance. It's a renovated facility with ethnic overtones and natural materials. It's modest, not over-the-top, and in good taste. Each room has a terrace with chairs, and there's a courtyard for socializing with other visitors. The facility is also very clean and well maintained.

Be sure to take advantage of the outdoor simple pleasures offered by the hotel. There are two gas fire pits with plenty of sitting where everyone can chill-out and have a chat on chilly nights. The hot spa is especially advantageous on cool nights as well.

The walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear other visitors. People talking and walking, and even exterior noise easily vibrates through the walls. If your room happens to be at the end of the building over the street, the trash collectors pick-up garbage early morning right outside your window, and they are loud! Try to avoid this area of the hotel during your stay if possible.

You may find the parking situation cumbersome, as there are not enough spaces for all visitors. There is a possibility to park on the busy street; however, you will have to move your vehicle every two-hours to avoid getting a ticket.

For the price you pay, breakfast could be much better. Bagels, granola bars, fruit, and a couple of other snacks does not cut-it for the price.
