Guestrooms at Carmel Lodge are generally spacious, meaning there is lots of space to spread out. The smaller rooms are cozy and tidy and everything is very clean. The beds are comfortable as well.

You'll find that you can walk to most places from this property. There are a number of restaurants and shops close by and the beach is easy to get to as well. If you want to drive further afield, you'll find the on site parking to be convenient.

The staff at this hotel are very pleasant and helpful. They will welcome your warmly and will remain cheerful throughout your stay. Any problems will be dealt with in a professional manner and they can also give you some useful tips on what to see and do in the local area.

The breakfast at Carmel Lodge isn't very substantial. You'll get a croissant, a couple of strawberries and a drink delivered to your room. The croissants aren't great. You might need to head out to a local cafe if you like to start the day with a hearty meal.

There is no air conditioning to speak of and some of the windows in guestrooms don't open, which means things can get quite toasty on hot days. You might be a little uncomfortable, even if you put a small fan to use.

The walls, here seem to be rather thin, meaning you might hear what is happening in neighboring rooms. Also, if you are facing the road, you'll experience traffic noise.
