Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location
The hotel is convenient to everything in the St Ignace area, making it a really great jumping off point for those wishing to explore. The free shuttle service to area attractions is an extra bonus, guests say, as it means they don't have to worry about giving up a parking spot.
positive:
Clean rooms
Guests are quick to comment on the cleanliness of the rooms at the Breakers Resort, saying housekeeping is well-attuned to the comforts and needs of those who stay at the hotel. Linens are always replaced and look well-taken care of, and rooms always seem to receive a very thoroughly cleaning between guests.
positive:
Beautiful views
Many say getting a balcony room is absolutely worth the price, as there's nothing quite like sitting out in the morning - or evening - sun and looking at the beautiful views of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island. Guests think it's picture perfect!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Separate check-in building
Some guests find that the front desk and breakfast room being in an entirely different building from where the guest rooms are can be a bit inconvenient for solving minor problems with front desk staff - especially if the weather is bad.
negative:
Only one elevator
Unfortunately the hotel only has one elevator to service all the rooms, so it can get a little busy and those guests who are able are advised to take the stairs when possible.
negative:
Crowded breakfast area
Because many guests want to take advantage of the great free breakfast the hotel offers, the room it's served in can get a bit crowded during peak times and there is limited seating. Guests may want to get in early to snag a good spot, or take their breakfast to go.
