Positive Reviews
positive:
Impressive and cheap.
It's possible to get a very attractive tariff here in this rather nice hotel where the crowning glory is the rooftop pool with views to the harbour. The highly rated and equally highly floored restaurant is good value too and not too expensive. There are also some good alternatives within easy walking distance. Try Delicias del Fogon; it's great value.
positive:
Good quality rooms.
They aren't particularly luxurious, but the rooms are well maintained and very clean. Many of the rooms have great sea views.
positive:
A quiet and welcoming location.
The hotel isn't directly on the main road, so there's no traffic noise to disturb the sleep. Loteria Metro Station is very close by and from there, it's a couple of stops to Albrook Mall, etc. You hope it isn't needed but, if it is, Hospital National is a close neighbour. Members of staff are very friendly and helpful and the anticipated language problem (English) is minimal.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Missing services.
The lift is out of action … but nobody tells you. The room is stiflingly hot but the remote control for the air conditioning is missing; so, too is the TV remote. They don't miss out on charging you to use the safe box though!
negative:
Outside: a tale of two halves of a city.
Turn one way and the area isn't good. Turn towards the sea and it's OK. Also outside; parking isn't a breeze. Breath in … it's very tight!

Breakfast is well worth missing.
Blink and you'll miss breakfast, the portions are so small and the whole thing is a non-event. The best advice is to forget it and pop into a café as you head out to explore the area.
