Hotel Lisboa (Panama City, Panama)

This was perhaps what guests most appreciated about the hotel. They said that it was incredibly central. Most of what they needed in the city seemed to be within walking distance, but even sights more remote could be reached by metro. The closest stop was just a short walk from the hotel.

Several guests felt that they received pretty good value for money. The rates at the hotel were said to be pretty low, and when combined with the great location and decent facilities guests felt they got a bit of a bargain.

Several guests were relieved to report that the air conditioning in their rooms worked very well. Considering the tropical heat and humidity, it was considered absolutely essential that they do so.

Guests reported that the parking for the hotel was not on-site, but actually across the road. While this wouldn’t ordinarily be the end of the world, they went on to add that it was locked and one needed to wait for someone from the hotel to unlock it. It was a system hat really didn’t work well, with guests kept waiting in their cars for a very long time.

Guests had mostly bad things to say about the hotel’s staff. The reception staff came in for especially harsh criticism, with guests saying they were at best entirely disinterested and robotic and at worst actively rude.

Guests felt that, for a hotel that was aiming to attract international guests, its staff did not have an acceptable standard of English. While they could just manage to communicate some basics, any sort of complicated query or issue simply couldn’t be dealt with unless you spoke Spanish.
