You can't really fault the location of this hotel. Step outside and you'll find many of the city's popular attractions are on your doorstep. As well as great shopping opportunities and tempting restaurants, you can enjoy events at Salt Palace and the EnergySolutions Arena.

Guests are pleased by the quality of the rooms and suites, often stating that they were in a good clean condition (perhaps having been renovated in mid-2015). The beds are comfy enough to almost guarantee a good night's sleep and extras such as the mini-fridge and microwave add convenience.

The free buffet breakfast offers a satisfying start to the day. You can help yourself to as much as you fancy and will find the food is fresh and at the right temperature whether that be hot or cold. Guests also mention that although breakfast sometimes starts a few minutes late, the staff is quick to restock items.

Although guests find the staff at the Holiday Inn Express Salt Lake City is friendly, there do appear to be some issues with the overall standard of the service. Housekeeping sometimes seems a little hit and miss and some guests also found check-in was slower than anticipated.

Not every guest encounters a problem with the Wi-Fi, but enough do to warrant some concern. Some guests simply describe the connection as a little spotty, but others were unable to connect to the Internet at all.

Several guests found parking at the hotel was more complicated than anticipated, describing how the places at the hotel itself are limited and you may end up using a multi-story option nearby. In either case, you will be expected to pay extra for the privilege.
