A room with a view
Specific rooms at the hotel offer either a balcony or a terrace which gives you access to some impressive views of coastal California. Be sure to specify an oceanside room for those balmy sea breezes that make your time at the beach extra special.

Close to the highway
To a road-worn traveler, the Spyglass Inn is a beacon of comfort and security from afar. Located along winding Highway 1, you'll appreciate how close you are to nearby activities and the open road, surprisingly without experiencing the roadside racket.

Classic California dining
With a selection of delicious regional favorites, the hotel restaurant serves up a mix of seafood tacos, bacon-wrapped scallops, and other coastal delights. And with a menu covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you'll have plenty of options to keep your stomach happy.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Lacking AC
Of course, the California coast is usually a pleasantly temperate place to be. However, at the summers' peak, conditions can get very muggy, which wouldn't be a problem if the hotel had an air conditioner. Sometimes a ceiling fan just doesn't cut it.
negative:
No elevators
Guests of the hotel have found the views impressive and the rates reasonable. However, if you or your companion has trouble getting around, you may wish to book a room on the first floor, since the hotel doesn't have an elevator.
negative:
A few minor concerns
Although the quarters are pleasant and the hotel is comfortable, some guests noted a handful of slightly troubling issues regarding the hotel. These include thin walls, minimalist décor, older rooms, limited hot water for showers, and some outmoded facilities.
