The guest house is well situated right in the centre of town. The pubs in the area are reasonably priced and the restaurants are within easy walking distance. The beach is roughly ten-minutes away and the facility is a good location if you need to visit South Tyneside College.

The breakfast is reasonable and available quite early in the morning. It's fresh and nicely cooked with plenty to go around. Nothing fancy but good value.

If you are fond of friendly staff, nice atmospheres, and clean facilities, this guest house will suit you just fine. The owner is a congenial individual who takes the time to sit down and have a chat with you, which makes you feel at home. Nothing is too much to ask

The seagulls in the morning can drive you crazy. It only makes it worse as this type of bird is quite aggressive, especially if someone is outside feeding them. However, the annoyance of this bird is not unusual in South Shields

If you dislike sharing the bathroom, you can forget about this guest house. The bathroom is outside the room, which is quite inconvenient as you have to make sure you are dressed properly in the wee hours even if you need the bathroom for a minute or two. However, it is clean, so that helps.

The church bells chime from early morning onwards. Perhaps you are good at blocking sounds out so the ringing won't bother you. If this isn't the case, the chiming throughout the day could get on your nerves!
