Positive Reviews
positive:
Well-located, a good base for visitors
The Prime Hotel is just off the historic Wangfujing Street with its street food, local-style night shopping and small and large department stores alike. There are also several historical and cultural sites within a ten-minute drive of the hotel and the airport is no more than an hour away.
positive:
Large, well-valued rooms
The rooms and suites come in a variety of set-ups with accommodation for up to four people in one room. They are all however spacious and those on higher floors enjoy city views as well.
positive:
Plenty of in-house conveniences
There are several services and facilities right in the hotel, generally free for guests to use. The well-equipped gym for example, swimming pool and spa, the front desk with luggage storage and a concierge to help booking tours and the like. Add to that the various restaurants and lounges with different ambiences and styles of cuisine, and Prime Hotel is a place that caters to everyone.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Traffic noise may filter in some rooms
As the hotel is in a vibrant downtown area where activity doesn't stop at night, rooms on lower floors facing out on to the busy streets may experience some noise from the odd car horn, etc. To avoid this, try and request a higher room or one on the inner side of the hotel's U shape.
negative:
Fairly high drink prices
The hotel bar and some of the dining options may have quite pricey food and drink- particularly for longer stays- but there is a wide choice of restaurants within the area and the concierge can assist with reservations if need be.
negative:
Intermittent Wi-Fi service
Although there is free wireless internet service at the hotel, it is not always reliable. Signal may be stronger in the lobby and restaurants than some rooms, though.
