The rooms are elegantly furnished, clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable and large windows allow the sunshine to stream in. Guests with upgraded rooms enjoyed beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and the Malecon.

The hotel offers several amenities for enjoyment and relaxation. The outdoor pool area is well presented with plenty of seating, a bar that offers happy hour drinks and panoramic views of the ocean. Guests also enjoyed the spa services including massages and beauty treatments. Some guests also enjoyed easy access to entertainment at the on-site casino.

The hotel is located directly across the road from the sea shore. Attractions such as El Obelisco Macho is a few minutes' walk away. The National Palace, Cathedral of Santo Domingo and Parque Colon can be reached within 25-minutes' walk. Guests without cars can arrange taxis via the front desk. Shopping areas such as the Agora Mall is 20-minutes' drive away. The museums of Plaza de la Cultura are a 12-minute drive from the hotel.

While most guests reported that the on-site restaurant offered a variety of delicious dishes, many guests felt that the menu was too expensive. Some guests recommended that you explore the local area for alternative dining options.

At times guests commented that the sound of local traffic was noisy, especially when the windows were left open. Other guests mentioned that the air conditioning was a little loud which some guests may find disturbing particularly when you're trying to sleep.
