However, some guests have raised the problem of noise carrying between rooms, particularly between noise traveling down from higher floors to the rooms beneath. Some guests have said they could hear footsteps quite loudly due to the lack of sound insulation, and that this sometimes disturbed them at night. Noise coming through the ceiling from cleaning staff was also an occasional problem for guests who wanted to sleep later.
