Positive Reviews
positive:
Exceptionally clean, comfortable rooms..
The guest rooms are generally described as very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Tired travelers appreciate the convenience of the microwave and mini fridge, and those who prefer a softer mattress rave about the beds. Four-legged guests enjoy the La Quinta Inn & Suites Lafayette too, and note the grounds feature several grassy areas.
positive:
Friendly, accommodating staff..
The staff are widely described as very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Many hungry guests rate the breakfast highly as well, noting there is a nice variety of items and the staff works hard to keep the buffet stocked.
positive:
Right off the interstate..
Drivers note that the hotel is easy to find, just off I-65. an ideal halfway point between Chicago and Indianapolis. There are several restaurants nearby, and a large Meijer grocery store right across the street. The parking is free, and the lot is both large and well-lit.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The exception to the rule..
Though many guests find the hotel very clean, a few have had fairly dramatic exceptions to report. Concerns with the linens and stained carpets are among the top issues. Also, though the staff receives many positive reviews, a few guests have had very negative experiences with management.
negative:
Don't drink the water..
Several guests have reported plumbing issues in their rooms, while others have expressed concern over the clarity of the water in the pool and hot tub. A few guests have also reported issues with the air conditioning, most often related to a "musty" odor.
negative:
Pet un-friendly?
This particular La Quinta location requires pet owners to pay a deposit, should the room require additional cleaning. As there is no additional pet fee at many La Quinta locations, some owners were unpleasantly surprised.
