Positive Reviews
positive:
It does what it says on the tin.
Very efficiently run ... it might be described as being run of the mill ... but you leave here well rested and happy after an uneventful stay. *Who wants an eventful hotel stay!? It’s an elderly building but recently well renovated.
positive:
Good, clean rooms.
Beds are comfortable and everything in the room is clean and functioning. The breakfast area is also much better administered than you might expect. Well maintained; stocks are regularly replenished. When tables are vacated, they are cleaned instantly so new arrivals aren’t faced with piles of dirty plates. No way!
positive:
Peace, quiet … and close to facilities.
The location is great. It’s quiet and feels very safe. You can, though, get to restaurants, shops and businesses, with great ease. Good old Cracker Barrel is just across the street. Here, it’s the peace, quiet and a good night’s sleep that you’ll remember most.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A ‘learning curve’.
Many stay here because of its location close to Purdue University. It isn’t really, all that close. The university is a good 15 minute drive away.
negative:
‘Paws’ for thought when bringing the pooch.
Pets are genuinely welcome, so that’s OK. It’s just worth checking the cost. The real price that you are faced with far exceeds the one you saw advertised.
negative:
A bit tired and dated.
In the rooms, mattresses are particularly old and uncomfortable. Sometimes the pool isn’t open. It is very quiet throughout - and it’s then that you really miss the bar and other recreational features.
