The River Arts Club is at Oldfield, a Victorian riverside mansion nestled on the banks of the river Thames, with landscaped gardens sweeping down to its private river frontage and moorings. It overlooks the Guards Club Island, a natural reserve for birds that can be accessed by a footbridge.Accommodation varies from large suites with open wood fireplaces to a single occupancy room all in keeping with the fabric of the building. All our rooms are equipped to the highest standards.The River Arts Club is in the countryside only a short distance from London and close to Bray village, the culinary centre of the British countryside. The River Arts Club is also ideally situated for any guest who wishes to attend Henley Regatta, the races at Ascot, polo matches at Smith’s Lawn or any of the many local polo and golf fields, or simply enjoy the charm of the Club, a “home away from home”, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Art pieces are to be found everywhere around the club and in the bedrooms. They are part of the Arts Clubs collection the owners have put together over the years. Ophelia, our private river launch, is available to take guests for a river tour over a glass of champagne.
