Bed & Breakfast Cara Guesthouse (Whitley Bay, United Kingdom)

Guests loved the location of the Cara Guesthouse overlooking the stunning Whitley Bay seafront. A short stroll and you can get mesmerising sea views with a variety of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shopping areas located nearby. The hotel is well positioned to explore the area attractions like Whitley Bay Playhouse, St Mary's Island and Lighthouse and others.

The guesthouse provides budget accommodation and the facilities are basic. Ideal for those guests who look forward to staying a day or two without spending too much on the hotel. Clean rooms, great location, nice breakfast, polite staff and good restaurants and bars nearby make a good deal to stay.

The breakfast at the guesthouse is very good, with a filling meal along with a lot of options available for guests. You may devour a variety of cuisines, as there are many good restaurants, bistros and bars located within walking distance.

There have been complaints about Carol, the host regarding the rude behavior and lack of care towards the guest problems regarding rooms and the service. However, few guests loved the guest service and their stay at the guesthouse.

Some guests felt that the guesthouse is a bit dated and the rooms need to be updated as there were some minor issues like old furniture, stained ceilings, bleach smell , stained sheets and duvets.

Few guests did not like the shared bathroom facility as there is only sink in the rooms.
