The Ambrosia Key West is a bed and breakfast in a central location with many of the attractions of the island being within walking distance. It is close to museums, water sport activities and beaches. The Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden and the Audubon House are merely a ten minute walk from the place. The Southernmost Point and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum are within two kilometres.

The accommodation at the B&B is available in rooms, suites, town houses and cottages. All the units have private baths. Some of them open into secluded spaces outdoors which include the pool area or garden featuring fountains and sculptures. Rooms feature satellite television, microwave, refrigerator and kettle. Suites add a Jacuzzi. Town houses add a full kitchen. The rooms are all individually decorated using different themes.

There are three swimming pools with plenty of places like courtyards and tropical gardens equipped with sun loungers for guests to relax. A delicious complimentary breakfast is served by the pool every morning giving a pleasant start to the day. The poolside bar serves refreshments till noon. The place is ideal to conduct events like weddings and is equipped to carry them out. Facilities like parking and Wi-Fi are free. Guests are allowed to bring pets.

Air conditioners in the rooms are noisy. The air from the fixed vents is directed at the heads of the beds and guests find the air blowing constantly on their faces uncomfortable.

The rates of the B&B are on the expensive side which seems pricey for the place which can do with improvisations like bathroom facilities and air conditioners.

Parking is on the street, and guests find it difficult to leave their cars in the open.
