NTR Gardens is a 36 acre pleasure park on Tank Bund Road, close to the Hussain Sagar Lake which was built in memory of N T Rama Rao, the Chief Minister of Andrhra Pradesh. The gardens can be visited on foot or using the park’s special miniature railway. There are numerous attractions, many included in the entrance price whilst others attract supplementary fees. The park contains rose and cactus gardens, a Japanese garden, large lawned areas and many quirky attractions such as a giant tree with a water slide inside, a mound covered in giant insects, and a restaurant that’s shaped like a mound of fruit and another where guests can eat in giant cars. Entrance to the park is 15 Rp for adults (30 euro cents approx.) and the park is open daily from 2.30pm to 10 pm. The nearest bus stop is the Secretariat and the nearest MMTS station is on Necklace Road. Note to approve - photo is mine.
