Korčula Town Museum (Korcula, Croatia)

The Korčula Town Museum opened in 1957 and is housed in the Renaissance-style, early 16th-century Gabrielis Palace opposite the Cathedral of St Marco on the main square Piaceta (Trg Sv. Marka). The permanent exhibition includes several displays, divided by theme, on different floors of the building. On the ground floor there are archaeological displays with prehistoric, Hellenic and medieval artefacts. Other floors house exhibitions of shipbuilding and masonry workshops, as well as a collection of art and cultural heritage from the 13th-20th century. A medieval kitchen is represented in the attic.
