Dinosaur Provincial Park (Brooks, Canada)
Dinosaur Provincial Park is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites and has been since 1979. It is located almost two and a half hours drive southeast of Alberta, Canada,and 48 kilometres northeast of Brooks. This park is very well known worldwide because it contains of one of the richest dinosaur fossil collections in the world. There are a lot of facilities and services like an amphitheatre ,bus tours, commercial guided hiking, cook shelters, fast food concession, firepits, firewood sold, toilets, grocery, hand launch, laundry, payphones, playground, facilities for electric power, showers, visitor center,and souvenir store, and water facilities, that makes it ideal for camping and hiking. At Dinosaur Provincial park there have been found 35 different species of dinosaur, dating back some 75 million years. Over 150 species of bird have been recorded.
