Trelawne Hotel (Falmouth, United Kingdom)

Guests who ate at Hutches Restaurant at the hotel raved about the menu items, which change daily, but especially praised the extensive wine lists. The breakfasts are not to be missed as all agree they are worth waking up for.

This is one of those establishments that, because it has limited rooms, the guests come to know one another. Guests at Trewlawne often make friends that last well beyond their stay at the hotel, which is something that everyone enjoys. The views from the second floor rooms are the most spectacular.

Many guests that stay here are return visitors because they love being able to take a quick weekend retreat, get away from home, and enjoy the exceptional service, the friendly atmosphere, and relaxing sounds of the surf.  It is a great place to recharge your batteries.

Many guests were surprised at the odd arrangement of the facilities in their rooms. Most of the heated towel racks did not work, the wash basins are not located in the bathroom, and there is no proper shower.

Most guests agree that the Wi-Fi is not reliable. Those that needed to check mail or call out did so from the common rooms below, in the bar, or in the restaurant area.

Renovations have occurred at this hotel, but have yet to extend to all of the rooms. Guests state that if you don't request a newly renovated room you are likely to find yourself in a time warp with the fifties décor. Those guests who booked the hotel because it stated that it was dog friendly were disappointed to learn that it is not dog friendly at all.
