Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location in heart of town.
If you want to be in the middle of everything in Rugby (the town), including all of the historic rugby (the sport) sites, and bars and restaurants, then The Rugby (the hotel) has a very central location for all of this.
positive:
Nice bar and restaurant.
Should you be in the market for a pint or two, a good pub meal or a full English breakfast in the morning, then the hotel’s restaurant and its bar are both good candidates for this.
positive:
Staff create friendly atmosphere.
Guests at The Rugby found the staff members to be pleasant, helpful and considerate, especially the excellent team on reception.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms very basic, bathrooms worse and so on.
Some guests found the rooms to be small, many thought the bathrooms were in need of an upgrade, occasionally guests suffered from a lack of hot water, and the absence of an elevator also made it hard for some with heavy luggage.
negative:
Noise, noise, noise.
The chances are that you will experience some noise from the bar-come-nightclub across the road and from drunken partiers in general, until the early hours, so remember to take your earplugs with you if you do not plan on heading out yourself.
negative:
Breakfast buffet not popular.
A small number of guests were not impressed by the breakfast buffet, which they found to be poorly presented and generally not up to standard, but the full English breakfast, on the other hand, was apparently good.
